When should I have the sex talk with my son?

Hi! My son is turning 8 Sept. 15th and I was wondering when should I start talking about sex with him? We have always been very open with him and answered any questions he has had and used proper names for his body parts and so on, but so far he has not asked where babies come from or anything else like that. Do you have any advice as to when we should bring it up or should I wait until he asks? And how do you bring it up? Thanks for any advice!

You could start with a book from the book store, leave it on his bed with a note. "if you have question, come and find me.". that could be a way to start so as not to imbarrasse him.

I think he needs to be talked to soon. mostly cause he is in school and you do not want the kids in his class telling him things that you are going to have to figure out how to change him mind on...
