Why is it wrong for a woman to enjoy sex?

Why is it that if a woman enjoys sex or has sex with several people over the course of her life time she is automatically considered a slut? Even if that woman is intelligent and is a benefit to society? Without putting RELIGION into the answer please because not everyone is Christian and as such no one has to adhere to Christian morals.
I don't think it's wrong personally, but I've been told it was wrong.
